Volume 083: Akka 1304 A.H. (1886–1887), Part IV (5 of 5)
BH09415: God testifieth that there is none other God but…
He is the Hearer, the Answerer!
God testifieth that there is none other God but Him. He hath ever been sanctified beyond the mention of all created things and the description of all beings. He hath sent the Messengers and revealed the Books as a grace from Him, and He is the All-Bountiful, the Most Generous. Through them He sent down the proof and made manifest the way, and guided all to His straight path. Praise be to God that thou hast turned toward Him and attained the circumambulation of His House. Blessed is the soul that hath turned for the sake of God and attained the fragrance of Yathrib and Batha. The divine fragrances waft from those lands and the light of His Cause shineth forth from its horizon. Well is it with him who hath drunk the choice wine of recognition from the hands of the bounty of his Lord, the All-Merciful, and acted according to that which he hath been commanded in His perspicuous Book.
BH09729: I beseech Thee, O my God and the God…
In the Name of our Most Holy, Most Great, Most Exalted, Most Glorious Lord!
I beseech Thee, O my God and the God of all things, my Creator and the Creator of heaven, by the steadfastness of Thy chosen ones in serving Thy Cause and the firmness of Thy faithful ones in Thy days, and by the light of Thy Cause whereby the horizons of Thy dominion were illumined, to make Thy loved ones in all conditions detached from aught else but Thee and turned toward the lights of Thy countenance. Then send down upon them, O my God, in every moment, the rain of Thy mercy and the tokens of Thy generosity. O Lord! Assist Thy male and female servants, and ordain for them that which befitteth Thy glory and Thy greatness and Thy sovereignty. There is no God but Thee, the Almighty, the All-Powerful.
BH10286: Glorified art Thou, O God of the unseen…
In the Name of our Lord, the Most Holy, the Most Great, the Most Exalted, the Most Glorious
Glorified art Thou, O God of the unseen and the visible, and the Sovereign over all existence! I beseech Thee by Thy Name, the All-Loving, to assist the servants to attain unto unity, and enable them to remember and praise Thee, and to arise to serve Thy Cause. O my Lord! I implore Thee by the mysteries of Thy Book, and the lights of Thy countenance, and the manifestations of Thy power, to ordain for Thy sincere ones the reward of attaining Thy presence. Then write down for them that which will draw them nigh unto Thee, and grant them the good of this world and of the world to come, and that whereby their hearts may be gladdened, O Thou Lord of all beings! There is none other God but Thee, the Almighty, the All-Powerful.
BH10449: O Haydar, upon thee be My glory! Hearken unto…
He is the One Who has dominion over earth and heaven!
O Haydar, upon thee be My glory! Hearken unto My call, for verily it draweth thee unto a horizon wherein all atoms cry out with praise and glory, wisdom and splendor unto God, Creator of heaven and Lord of all things. Blessed is the man who hath arisen to serve My Cause, and the eye that hath been illumined by beholding My traces, and the tongue that hath spoken My praise, and the ear that hath been honored by hearkening unto My wondrous call. Give thanks unto God for having aided thee and enabled thee to attain recognition, and for having sent down unto thee that which hath diffused the fragrance of loving-kindness and favors throughout all regions. Verily, He is the Almighty, the All-Powerful.
BH10723: O Muhammad-Sadiq! The True One, exalted be His glory…
In the Name of God, the Lord of the Exalted Throne
O Muhammad-Sadiq! The True One, exalted be His glory, hath created the servants for His recognition and brought them forth from nothingness into being. Yet when the Day appeared and the Standard of Divine Unity was raised up, all turned away save whom God, the Lord of the worlds, willed. Religion is a manifest light. We beseech God to aid all to hold fast unto it and to cling to its hem. Verily He is the Ordainer, the All-Wise, the Mighty, the Great.
BH10752: Praise be to God Who hath broken the seal…
He is the All-Knowing Expounder
Praise be to God Who hath broken the seal of the choice Wine with the finger of power and hath caused to descend from the heaven of utterance that whereby all things have proclaimed:
“The Kingdom belongeth to Him Who hath appeared with the truth with such conclusive proof as hath caused all necks to bow down.”
O Ghulam-Husayn! Rejoice thou in that which the Wronged One hath spoken whilst in the hands of the wicked. Say: Praise be to Thee for having enabled me to turn towards Thee when most of Thy servants had turned away from Thee.
BH10840: My God, my Adored One! Deprive not Thy servants…
My God, my Adored One! Deprive not Thy servants of the fruits of their existence, and grant them their portion from the ocean of Thy bounty. Thou art the One Whose power the might of the world hath not weakened, and Whose Purpose the pomp of earthly sovereigns hath not prevented. I beseech of Thee Thy ancient grace and Thy fresh favors. Thou art verily the All-Bountiful, the Ever-Forgiving, the Bestower, the Almighty.
BH11177: O Ghulam-Rida! We counsel thee to preserve what My…
He is the Hearing, the Responding One!
O Ghulam-Rida! We counsel thee to preserve what My Herald uttered when He lamented for My tribulations in My days. Verily, it shall protect thee from the doubts of the croakers and the intimations of the suspicious ones. He said—and His word is the truth:
“I have written a gem in His remembrance, and it is this: He cannot be indicated by My indication, nor by what was revealed in the Bayan.”
BH08235: The missive of Mulla Abdu’r-Razzaq and his sister, upon…
He is the Helper.
The missive of Mulla Abdu’r-Razzaq and his sister, upon them be the Glory of God, and Haji Ali, upon him be the Glory of God, and the handmaiden of God and the handmaiden of God Rubabih, and the wife of the late Aqa Husayn-Quli, upon him and upon them be the Glory of God, was received by this servant through the beloved of hearts, His Holiness the Trustee, upon him be the Most Glorious Glory of God, in the year 1304.
Great God! In this glorious Dispensation the treasures laid up by kings and queens are not worthy of mention, nor will they be acceptable in the Presence of God. However, a grain of mustard offered by His loved ones will be extolled in the exalted court of His holiness and invested with the ornament of His acceptance. Immeasurably exalted is His bounty, immeasurably glorified is His majesty. And yet, when an offering was adorned with the glory of His acceptance and reported by Jinab-i-Amin, twice that amount was ordered to be paid out to the poor and the needy. Unto this beareth witness every fair-minded man of insight, and those that are truthful and trustworthy.
BH09206: My God, my God! Thou seest me standing…
In the Name of our Lord, the Most Holy, the Most Great, the Most Exalted, the Most Glorious
My God, my God! Thou seest me standing in service to Thy Cause, and seated before Thy face, setting down Thy verses, with my hand of hope upraised to the heaven of Thy bounty and my face turned toward the horizon of Thy generosity. I beseech Thee, O Lord of existence and Educator of the seen and unseen, by the Word through which Thou didst quicken Thy servants and guide them to Thy path, to strengthen whosoever hath turned unto Thee and drunk the choice wine of revelation from the hand of Thy bounty. Verily, Thou art the Omnipotent over whatsoever Thou willest. There is no God but Thee, the Forgiving, the Merciful.
He is the Sustainer
The letter from Mulla Mahmud, upon him be the Glory of God—two pieces of fabric through Aqa Muhammad Kazim, upon him be the Glory of God, reached the servant in the year 1304.
BH10291: Praise be unto Thee, O My God and My…
In the name of our Lord, the Most Holy, the Most Great, the Most Exalted, the Most Glorious!
Praise be unto Thee, O My God and My Master, My Sustainer and My Beloved, My Heart’s Desire! Thou seest Thy servant who is called by the name of Ali-Askar, as he draweth nigh unto the Kaaba of Thy wisdom and attaineth unto that which Thou didst reveal in Thy Book. He verily is of those who hath beheld and beareth witness to Thy most mighty Signs, and hath attained Thy favour, and hastened along the pathway of Thy good pleasure.
I beg of Thee by Thy most excellent Names and Thy most exalted Attributes to write down for him with the pen of Thy power that which beseemeth the heaven of Thy bounty and the ocean of Thy grace. Thou art verily the Bestower, the Mighty, the Powerful, Who art wont to answer the prayers of all men.
BH10506: O God, my God! Thou seest how Thy servant…
In the Name of our Lord, the Most Holy, the Most Great, the Exalted, the Most Glorious!
O God, my God! Thou seest how Thy servant hath set his face towards Thee and desired to be honoured by performing that whereunto he hath been bidden in Thy Book. Do Thou ordain for him through Thy Most Exalted Pen that which shall draw him nigh unto the Most Sublime Summit. Thou, verily, art the Educator of the world and the Lord of the nations, and Thou, verily, art the Potent, the All-Subduing, the Almighty.
