Volume 076: Akka 1302 A.H. (1884–1885), Part II (6 of 6)
BH09168: O My Leaf! Upon thee be My glory. Verily…
He is the One Who hath power over whatsoever He willeth through His word “Be” and it is.
O My Leaf! Upon thee be My glory. Verily the Divine Lote-Tree casteth upon thee from the verses of thy Lord, and I am the All-Knowing Remembrancer. It calleth out between earth and heaven: By God! The Lord of Names hath come with clear sovereignty. Rejoice thou in the bounty of thy Lord, for He hath named thee in the Book of Names “The Exalted One.” Be thankful for this great favor. Hold fast to the cord of thy Lord’s grace, then act according to that which We have counseled thee. Nothing whatsoever escapeth His knowledge—He witnesseth and seeth, and He is the All-Hearing, the All-Seeing. The glory shining forth from the horizon of the heaven of My mercy be upon thee and upon My Afnans who have circled round My Cause and arisen to serve Me amongst My servants. Verily they are of Me—to this My swiftly-moving, ever-active Pen doth testify.
BH09722: He is the All-Seeing, the All-Informed. My pen…
He is the All-Seeing, the All-Informed. My pen and my tongue and my fingers and my inner self and my outer self and my hidden being and my heart and my liver and my spirit and my soul and my limbs and my faculties and my knowledge and my understanding and my hearing and my sight and my inmost heart testify to the oneness of God and His singleness and to His grandeur and His sovereignty and His might and His power and His glory. Blessed is the tongue that beareth witness to that which My Most Exalted Pen hath testified on this dark night, and the heart that hath turned toward the horizon of the All-Merciful, and the eye that hath beheld the lights of the Countenance when it was shining forth from the horizon of the Prison, and the hand that hath taken hold of the Book of God, the Lord of all worlds.
BH09474: We have heard thy mention and witnessed thy enkindlement…
He is the All-Seeing, the All-Informed.
We have heard thy mention and witnessed thy enkindlement in the love of God, the Lord of the mighty throne. We have remembered thee in a Tablet from whose horizon hath shone forth the Sun of thy Lord’s loving-kindness, the Lord of all worlds. Say:
O my God and my Lord! I beseech Thee by Thy Name, the All-Subduing above all names, and by the Ark that hath sailed upon the sea through Thy Most Great and Most Glorious Name, to assist me in Thy remembrance and praise and in the service of Thy Cause. O Lord! Increase my longing and steadfastness in this Cause whereby the foundations were shaken and the hearts of the deniers were perturbed. O Lord! Deprive me not of that which lieth with Thee, and ordain for me what Thou hast ordained for Thy chosen ones. Verily, Thou art the Almighty over what Thou willest. There is none other God but Thee, the All-Knowing, the All-Wise.
BH09718: In My Name which shineth forth from the horizon…
In My Name which shineth forth from the horizon of the Kingdom!
O My leaf and My Afnan, daughter of His Honor Siyyid M., upon both of whom be the Most Glorious Beauty of God! Thy Lord remembereth thee in the Most Great Prison. Verily He remembered thee before thy existence, and in these days wherein have been revealed the mysteries of the Books and that which was hidden in the knowledge of God, the Lord of all worlds. Be thou thankful unto thy Lord and say:
“Praise be unto Thee, O my God, for having made me one of Thy leaves and recorded me by Thy Most Exalted Pen as one of the Afnans whom Thou hast mentioned in Thy Books, Thy Scriptures and Thy Tablets, and hast commanded Thy servants to love them and to show them affection—a bounty from Thy presence. I beseech Thee to aid me in remembering Thee and glorifying Thee. Verily Thou art the Mighty, the All-Knowing, the All-Wise.”
BH11847: We bear witness to that which God hath witnessed…
He is the All-Witnessing, the All-Informed
We bear witness to that which God hath witnessed, that there is none other God but Him, in acknowledgment of His oneness and in recognition of His singleness, His grandeur and His sovereignty. And We bear witness that thou hast sent unto the Wronged One that which cannot be equaled by the Hidden Treasure, and which was more beloved in My sight than all things visible in the kingdom of creation. We beseech Him, exalted be He, to reward thee with the most excellent reward in this world and the next. Verily, He is the Lord of the seen and the unseen, and the Lord of the throne on high and of the earth below. We have sent unto thee that which hath been honored to attain His presence, that thou mayest inhale therefrom the fragrance of tenderness and loving-kindness. By My life! Its fragrance will draw thee to a station that cannot be described in words. The Cause is in the hands of God, the Lord of all possibilities and the Educator of all religions.
BH09436: The world is in motion through the magnetic force…
In the Name of the One True Friend!
The world is in motion through the magnetic force of the Word of the Lord of Eternity, yet the servants remain heedless thereof, save whom God willeth. Render praise unto the Desired One of all worlds, Who hath enabled thee to recognize that Horizon from which all are veiled and heedless. In the springtime of youth and the prime of life, whosoever attaineth unto the love of God is accounted among the denizens of the most exalted Paradise. Strive thou to manifest that which will cause the exaltation of His Cause….
BH09336: Two matters are of utmost magnitude: one…
He is the Speaker from the Supreme Horizon
Two matters are of utmost magnitude: one is the recognition of the Most Great Announcement and the other is steadfastness therein. The essence of acceptance is like a tablet whereon this most exalted Word hath been inscribed by the Most Exalted Pen:
“The beginning of all things is knowledge of Me and the end thereof is steadfastness in My love.”
Blessed is the soul that hath perceived the fragrance of this blessed and most exalted Word. Such a soul hath been and ever shall be the manifestation of God’s Most Powerful Name. We make mention of thee that thou mayest arise to serve the Cause of thy Lord through wisdom and utterance and through that which the All-Merciful hath revealed in His precious and wondrous Book. The glory shining from the horizon of the heaven of My loving-kindness be upon thee and upon those who have testified to that whereunto God hath testified in this exalted and glorious station.
BH10006: The waves of the ocean of bounty are surging…
In the Name of the Friend!
The waves of the ocean of bounty are surging at their highest, and the Sun of loving-kindness is shining from the most exalted horizon of grace. The clouds of oppression have sought to veil it, and the veils of concealment have intervened. O friends! I tell you truly: The Word of God shall prevail, His Will shall encompass all. Today, hold fast to the cord of steadfastness, that ye may be numbered among those of whom it is said:
“The censure of any censurer deterreth them not in the path of God.”
O handmaiden of God! Thy name was mentioned before the Wronged One, and this Tablet was revealed. We beseech God to assist all handmaidens and illumine them with the lights of His manifestation. The Glory be upon thee.
BH09894: God testifieth that there is none other God but…
He is the All-Knowing, the All-Informed!
God testifieth that there is none other God but Him. He giveth life and causeth death, and He is the One with power over whatsoever He willeth. Within His grasp is the dominion of Command and Creation. He doeth what He pleaseth and ordaineth what He willeth, and He is the Strong, the Mighty. O My maidservant! Upon thee be My glory and My loving-kindness. We counsel thee with that which beseemeth the days of God, the Lord of all worlds, and with steadfastness in this mighty Cause, whereby every idol hath wailed, every heedless one hath cried out, and every remote one hath been sorely troubled. O My maidservant! Rejoice thou in My remembrance and My loving-kindness, then give thanks unto thy Lord, the All-Forgiving, the All-Bountiful. The glory be upon thee from the presence of One mighty and great.
BH09980: The Book of God hath been sent down…
He is the One dawning from the horizon of the heaven of Revelation.
The Book of God hath been sent down in truth, yet the people understand not. The Promise hath come to pass, and the Promised One calleth aloud before all faces, yet most of the people perceive not. They have cast the Book of God behind their backs, clinging to idle fancies and vain imaginings. There hath been sent down in this Revelation what was not revealed unto the Prophets of old—nay, even more. To this bear witness the Manifestations of fairness and the Daysprings of all matters. We have shown forth clear proofs in such wise that none deny them save those who have cast away the Covenant and the Testament of God, the Lord of what was and what shall be.
BH09912: He is the Most Exalted, the Most High! Know…
He is the Most Exalted, the Most High! Know that Mine Afnan hath mentioned thee before the Throne, until the Sun of Permission rose from the horizon of the Will of God, the Lord of all worlds. Thou shouldst thank Him for this most great favor, which cannot be equaled by whatsoever is with the kings and rulers. We have given thee permission and have recorded for thee the reward of attaining His presence through My Most Exalted Pen in My perspicuous Book. He hath desired to fulfill His promise and covenant. Verily thy Lord is the All-Seeing, the All-Knowing. The glory rest upon him and upon thee and upon those who have chosen for themselves a path unto God, the Mighty, the All-Wise.
BH10119: O my leaf! Upon thee be My glory!…
He is the Most Glorious, the All-Glorious
O my leaf! Upon thee be My glory! In this year, through the wondrous favors of God—glorified be His majesty—a number of Afnan turned toward and attained the presence of the Blessed Tree, and achieved that which was recorded in the divine Books and Scriptures. Each one hath their station with God. Although outwardly thou didst not attain this bounty, yet thou hast been favored with a Tablet from whose horizon the Sun of God’s loving-kindness hath dawned and become manifest. Glory be upon thee and upon those who have attained, and upon a handmaiden who hath attained unto God, the Lord of the worlds.
BH10304: In My Name, the Most Exalted, the Most Glorious
In My Name, the Most Exalted, the Most Glorious
God testifieth that there is none other God but Him, the All-Compelling, the Self-Subsisting. O My leaf! Bear thou witness unto that whereunto God hath Himself borne witness, and she who hath affirmed and acknowledged the testimony of God—verily she is of the denizens of the highest Paradise, inscribed in the Crimson Book which none hath beheld save God, the Lord of all mankind. Thus have We caused thee to hear the rustling of My Lote-Tree and the shrill voice of My Pen, that thou mayest give thanks unto thy Lord, the Almighty, the All-Knowing, the All-Wise. The glory rest upon thee and upon every leaf who hath held fast unto the cord of the will of her Lord, the Forgiving, the Bountiful.
BH10320: My Most Exalted Pen beareth witness that there…
He is the All-Knowing, the All-Informed
My Most Exalted Pen beareth witness that there is none other God but Him. He giveth life and causeth death, causeth death and giveth life, and He is the Single, the One, the All-Knowing, the All-Wise. We have heard thy call and have called out to thee from the Most Sacred Side of the Throne, and have remembered thee with a remembrance through which thy station hath been elevated, and the station of all who have turned to God, the Single, the All-Informed. Give thanks unto thy Lord, for He hath aided thee and sent down for thee that which shall endure throughout the eternity of My Most Beautiful Names. And I am verily the Rememberer, the Compassionate, the Generous. The glory be upon thee and upon those who have believed in God, the Mighty, the Praiseworthy.
BH10301: God testifeth that thou hast turned unto Him…
He is the All-Knowing, the All-Informed
God testifeth that thou hast turned unto Him and believed, and hast heard and responded when the Call was raised between earth and heaven, and hast acknowledged that which the Tongue of Grandeur hath spoken. We beseech God to aid thee to preserve that wherewith He hath honored thee, and to ordain for thee the good of both this world and the next. Then know thou that there appeared before the Gate he who rent asunder the veil in the final return, and delivered the Message, as attested by God, the Lord of lords. He made mention of thy kindly deed, and it was accepted. Verily thy Lord is the Mighty, the All-Bestowing. And the glory be upon thee and upon him who hath believed in God, the One, the Chosen One.
BH10370: Say: O My Afnan! Glory be unto Thee, O…
He is the One singing upon the branches
Say: O My Afnan! Glory be unto Thee, O my God, my Goal and my Beloved! Thou seest one of Thy leaves turning unto Thee, clinging to the Tree of Thy grace, and seeking the wonders of Thy bounty and Thy mercy. I beseech Thee, O my Lord, by the light of Thy countenance and the breezes of Thy Revelation, to preserve me through Thy power and Thy sovereignty, lest the tempests of trials in Thy days cause me to fall. O my Lord, I am she who hath turned unto Thee, holding fast to the cord of Thy generosity. I beseech Thee to cause me to be immersed in the ocean of Thy oneness and to stand before the door of Thy bounty in every world of Thy worlds. Verily, Thou art the All-Forgiving, the All-Bountiful.
BH10737: O My Leaf! The Wronged One makes mention…
He is the Guide to His Straight Path!
O My Leaf! The Wronged One makes mention of thee from the precincts of the Prison, and gives thee glad tidings of the favors of thy Lord, before Whose Name the Concourse on High, and the dwellers of the Cities of Names, and the people of this Most Glorious Horizon have bowed down in adoration, whilst it increaseth naught in the oppressors save loss. Rejoice, O My Leaf! Then make mention and glorify thy Lord at eventide and at dawn. The glory of God rest upon thy father and thy mother and [thy brother] and upon thee from God, the Mighty, the All-Bestowing.
BH10762: He is the Mighty, the All-Knowing! My Most Exalted…
He is the Mighty, the All-Knowing! My Most Exalted Pen makes mention of My Afnan who hath inhaled the fragrance of My loving-kindness, who hath turned unto My horizon, and who hath clung to the cord of My bounty in days wherein every oppressor hath arisen, every transgressor raised his voice, and every misbeliever denied God, the Lord of this wondrous Day. Render thanks unto thy Lord for having aided thee to recognize His Most Great Command and to hold fast unto this Momentous Announcement. Say: Praise be unto Thee, O God of the worlds!
BH11486: Sorrow and joy, poverty and wealth, hardship and ease…
…Sorrow and joy, poverty and wealth, hardship and ease, difficulty and facility—all are within His mighty grasp. He giveth as He willeth; none can resist His command. He doeth what He pleaseth and ordaineth what He desireth. He is the Triumphant, the Strong, the Almighty….
BH11911: This honor and benevolence hath been bestowed upon…
This honor and benevolence hath been bestowed upon the sister and her descendants, from her Lord, the Merciful. He is the Munificent and the Compassionate, and He is the Generous and the Bounteous.
BH05870: In My Name, the Speaker between earth and heaven
In My Name, the Speaker between earth and heaven.
A Book which the All-Bestower hath sent down at the final goal unto those who have believed in God, the Almighty, the Self-Subsisting. O peoples of the earth! Beware lest the deeds of the oppressors hold you back from God, the Lord of all worlds. Arise ye from the slumber of vain desire, turning unto God, the Lord of all humanity. This is what shall profit you in the hereafter and in this world, if ye be of them that know.
Thy mention hath come before the Wronged One, and He hath sent down for thee this wondrous and glorious Tablet. We counsel thee and those who have believed to show forth that steadfastness which God hath made the crown upon the head of faith and the eye of the temple of true knowledge. Thus hath the matter been decreed by My Most Exalted Pen in the Crimson Book, yet most of the people are heedless.
When thou dost inhale the fragrance of My raiment from the temple of My utterance, give thanks unto God and say:
“Praise be unto Thee, O Lord of the Kingdom of earth and heaven, and glory be unto Thee, O Thou Who showest mercy to both kings and subjects! I beseech Thee by Thy Name through which Thou didst subdue the world and guide the peoples, to make me steadfast in Thy Cause, firm in Thy love, and speaking forth Thy praise. Verily Thou art the Almighty over whatsoever Thou willest. There is none other God but Thee, the All-Compelling over what was and what shall be.”
